New AU e-theses op-out mandate

The Research Degree Board supported the new Aberystwyth University electronic thesis and dissertation opt-out mandate on 27th April 2010. This now means that all successful research theses (PhD and MPhil) in their final corrected form are to be deposited in CADAIR. Also, postgraduate taught masters' dissertations (MA and MSc) which receive distinctions (whether or not a student gets a distinction overall) or are on the subjects of Welsh, Celtic Studies and Welsh History will be disseminated through CADAIR. If the student wishes to opt-out, then it is by simply filling in a form and signing the appropriate section so as to inform the repository adviser that only an introductory chapter and the bibliography can be submitted. The 'Aberystwyth University Electronic Theses and Dissertations Publication Form is available from the CADAIR home page http://cadair.aber.ac.uk/dspace/. As of September 2010, the Academic Office will include this form in with all submission documents as well as all departmental administrators being provided with a copy. For any further information, please do not hesitate in contacting the repository adviser on 622396 or cadair@aber.ac.uk
